Terms of use

Let's Hang is a wellbeing coaching space run by a small coaching practice. It offers an introduction to your coach, a community room for sharing and support, a library of short mental-health reads, and a place to report personal progress.

Not medical care. Coaching is not therapy, counselling, diagnosis, or treatment. Nothing in the app — including anything a coach writes or an article says — is medical advice. If you are struggling with your mental health, please seek help from a qualified professional. In South Africa you can call the South African Depression and Anxiety Group (SADAG) on 0800 567 567; if you are elsewhere, contact your local crisis line or emergency services.

You must be 18 or older to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details safe, and for what you post under your account.

We ask members to be kind. You may not harass or threaten anyone, post hate speech or sexual content, share anyone else's private information, pretend to be someone you are not, try to break or probe the service's security, or use the space to sell or advertise. We may remove content or accounts that break these rules, with or without warning, and you can stop using the space at any time.

You keep ownership of what you write or record. By posting in the room or elsewhere in the app, you give us permission to display that content to other members as part of the service, and to store it as described in our privacy policy. If you post anonymously, we will not show your identity to other members.

We cannot control what other members do with what you share, so please share at the pace that feels safe to you. If you see something that breaks the rules or worries you, contact us and we will look into it.

We work hard to keep Let's Hang running, but the service is provided "as is". We do not promise that it will always be available, error-free, or uninterrupted, and we may change, pause, or end features — or the service — at any time. Where the law gives you rights that cannot be limited, those rights still apply.

To the extent the law allows, Let's Hang and its coaches are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim connected to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (which is typically nothing, as the app is free to use). Nothing in these terms limits our liability for gross negligence, fraud, or anything else the law does not allow us to limit.

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of South African courts. If a court finds part of these terms invalid, the rest still applies. We may update these terms from time to time; when the changes are significant, we will say so in the app before they take effect.
